(I know not whether Laws be right,/ Or whether Laws be wrong/ All that we know who lie in gaol/ Is that the wall is strong/ And they do well to hide their hell,/ For in it things are done/ That Son of God nor son of Man/ Ever should look upon!) Busy hands build those walls higher and higher, mixing cement hard, closing windows with bars of iron/ The wage slaves build prisons for the state from the tax money they were obliged to pay/But isn’t it -out here- a prison too?/ “Outmates”, inmates unite: break those walls down!/ Fire!/ Burn! (The vilest deeds, like poison weeds,/Bloom well in prison air;/ It is only what is good in Man/ That wastes and withers there;) Most people are locked up because of reasons leading back to social injustice (the country or social class one was born to and its consequences) or a kind of state repression (failing or resisting to obey to rules of the law). Those who write criminal laws hardly ever get caught committing one of them. Those who pay for the construction of prisons, and who actually build them, have the chance to get into one of them. Those who have already got locked up once will probably get there back again. Those who profit on the whole prison system want you to believe and support them. Those who fight the law hardly ever win…
2.
From coffin like flats with the sunrise we crawl / The energy, that we gain from the sun, to an evil system we offer to suck it all out/ To drain me /Enslave us all/ Our minds are useless, exhausted from the toil/ No time or energy is left to think or fight back at all/ Our wills are broken, our hearts are heavy with sores/ Our lungs lack the amount of air to articulate a discontent roar/ Let’s smash this evil system by breaking all their laws/ Let’s hit its’ defenders only where it hurts them the most/ Do what hurts them the most! Labour in capitalist society weakens and finally breaks not only our bodies, but our souls too. Cheap entertainment and false hopes temporarily silence the exploited, precarious and even the ambitious ones. But how long will we endure?
3.
on soulless assembly lines, running at a maddening speed / industrious hands are destined to reproduce the objects of our craving / robots of flesh and blood repeating pre-designed movements around the clock / every second is planned, efficiency running at its best / blood sweat and tears are smearing the cogwheels / operation ain’t no creation, but unbearable mind-wrecking repetition / maintenance of the machinery of our own oppression / the sound of progression arrhythmic industrial noise, the funeral march of the assembly line / the machines are running, producing the tools / operators are programmed too, their movements are doomed Every time we clock in for a job – an activity that in an indirect way ensures our physical existence -we reproduce the system that forces us to clock in on the first place. We produce things and provide services that other people will have/want to buy from the money they earned at their jobs. And the cycle is closed, the system is reproduced, demand is created, supply is in the works and we make endsmeet. Although machines and robots are taking over workplaces in every economic sector today, still technological progression fails to raise the level of social well-being.

They have never meant to defend us, but to protect themselves from us/ By building fences around us/ By manipulating us/ By taking our rights away/ By watching every single step we take/ Raising security levels with more prison guards/ Our cells got enforced walls, safer locks and stronger window-bars/ Defend your property, your nation of slaves/ And alas! The misguided wretched ones are begging for thought police Niemand ist mehr Sklave, als der sich für frei hält, ohne es zu sein. People are taken as hostages by their “own” governments. The political elite look at a country’s population as human resources, essential for the creation and accumulation of capital. Fear mongering, keeping people under constant psychological pressure result in anxious masses that willingly buy the populist propaganda of national defense. And with it comes total surveillance and restricted freedom i.e. our slavery.
5.
(If the workers took a notion/They could stop all speeding trains/ Every ship upon the ocean/ They can tie with mighty chains/ Every wheel in the creation/ Every mine and every mill,/ Fleets and armies of the nation/ Will at their command stand still) Look at me, see me, and perceive me/ Don’t turn your head (away)/ I am a slave and I serve you/ I don’t feel ashamed/ I wake, I work, I rest; wake, work, rest/ My salvation comes with (my) freedom or (your) death/ Why do I give my time to people who don’t care if I live or die?/ Oh, why do I smile at people who I’d (rather) kick in the eye?/ What holds me back from leaving behind all this shit?/ What keeps me on my knees?/ What’d make me finally stand?/ What I produce why do you own?/ Of my freedom my time why do you dispose?/(They’re) keeping us silent with monthly rewards, but one day the scum will rise and start to revolt! Those who devote their lives to earning a living are incapable of living a human existence. All (human) animals are equal, but some (human) animals are more equal than others. Every job is a job, but some jobs are harder, shittier and worse paid than others. Nevertheless they got done. Most men today cannot conceive of a freedom that does not involve somebody's slavery.
6.
Masses plagued with borderline/ (their) identities have been multiplied/ Are you an oppressor or an oppressed?/ Are you maintained or a maintainer?/ Surplus production, force-fed needs/ Work & consume, rest and breed/ To feel guilty or innocent/ (Are you) being destroyed or a destroyer?/ The abstract of capital makes the wheel turn/ Monetary compensation makes you obey their/its’ will/ Religion faith in progression promises (you) a better world/ The ever-poor and (have-nots) keep on dreaming of a bright future/ But will anything anytime anywhere change?/ Not, until we will! In a world, where information can manipulate billions of people, where history books are written by a chosen few, but read by entire populations, where things go untold about how our economic system destroys nature and exploits the less fortunate and where the social organization guarantees inequality from our birth on. In such a world we have a hard time identifying ourselves and see what we are or are not guilty of and what we could do in order to achieve some positive changes. we punks identify ourselves as rebels… …. and we want to fuck shit up… ….do we?
